Clubs
At Higher Lane we offer a range of before and after school clubs. Some of the clubs are run by staff or our specialist PE coach and some are run by external providers.
Clubs run by external providers have a nominal fee which is paid in a clearly labelled envelope along with the permission slip at the school office.
Most clubs run for a half term and are aimed at specific year groups.
Watch for club letters sent home with your child.
ALL external providers are DBS checked.
Technola Computing Club
We operate a rolling programme, whereby all children from Years 1 to 6 have the opportunity to put their name forward to attend Computing Club which operates across two evening sessions, Mondays and Thursdays, and two lunchtime sessions, which are on Tuesdays and Fridays.
All sessions are taught through enjoyment and participation and aim to build on children's computing knowledge, technical skills and confidence.
The three areas of Computing are:
- Computer Science (coding)
- Digital Literacy
- Information Technology
All clubs are extremely popular!
Reading and Homework Club
Every lunchtime we offer Reading and Homework Clubs for our KS1 and KS2 pupils.
Welcome to Reading Club: Our pupils told us they wanted a place to read, explore books and be with friends. Children can read their Accelerated Reader book or simply browse the shelves!
Welcome to Homework: If you just haven't got time at home - or you can't find the glue stick then feel free to come on down to Homework club every school day!
